My guess with all her adventures in the beginning with her father, and seeing other men from different countries, she may have develop a curiosity for something "different" from her typical aristocrat lifestyle. This would explain her need for adventure with relic hunting, and a taste for some Blacked action...hence her becoming another British snowbunny. Not the first (though one of the richest) and certainly not the last.
